thx Carol.

Not sure why Kesler and Backes were on team USA when they had better choices. I realize Lombardi was trying to 'build' a club that could take Canada out but you'd think they would have learned by now the Ryan Keslers' of the world just can't do it.

Thank you Carol. I think LE will be a great fit on this team. The only issue with him is health. Dude seems to get hurt quite frequently.

But the combination of him and a healthy Sutter in the line up all year could prvide some exciting things including a post season birth.

I also really liked the Gudbranson addition although I know im in the minority on that.

other than the 20 games he missed due to the concussion 2 seasons ago, he's pretty much played complete seasons since 2008/2009.

Very true. Got a feeling Eriksson is going to have a few good years here...

Kesler deserves to be on the team, he is good at what he does even if that makes him unpopular.

Backes, I can see being a bit more questionable but other than last year's dip he has been a pretty productive player while also taking care of both ends of the ice.

The players who were surprises were abdelkator, Dubinsky IMO.

I agree on Kesler, he's good at what he does, they didn't lose because of him. Picking Dubinsky over Kessel or Johnson from Tampa and then sitting him when they picked him to play against Crosby is

Just get the World Cup over with and let's get the real season started. Pumped to see what Gudbranson will do when Miller and Markstrom get bumped.

Does LE mean Loui Eriksson?? Cus he's only missed 20 games over the last 8 seasons - what do you think "frequently" means?

in terms of Gudbranson I think is definitely a player to be excited about - he brings size/strength to the D that we lack.

Maybe as 4th line C and PK guy...not a 'go to' guy...he just can't figure out how to be a winner and you'd think by now that hockey USA would be figuring this out. Sure he's still a fairly solid 2LC in the NHL but there comes a time...

I'm not watching it but I heard Abdelkator and Dubinsky were just basically useless out there. Byfuglien with some D issues as well.

And now I'm hearing Backes is calling out Kessel for his tweet about team USA

I though backes comments were great ...he put the blame on the players not executing and stuck up for all the guys in the room saying that it was on them ...and possibly coaching too ...there was several Americans who commented on it not just backes

I think if you put those two on team canada they could win ...I think players like Dubinsky and abdelkator and some of the D being weak is what hurts them
